FY further states that there is no difference between OEM and ARG products except for the logo. FY's OEM products bear the vehicle's brand name, whereas ARG aftermarket products do not. FYG made products bearing the FYG logo are the same quality as OE parts because they are actually OE Equivalent Spare Parts. PGW < PPG - Pittsburgh Glass Works, Started out in 1883.PPG had been designing, improving and manufacturing automotive windshields since they were invented and the tradition of innovation and quality. PPG's global presence has enabled them to build a history of supplying quality automotive glass and for both factory OEM and replacement OEM aftermarket auto glass parts such as windshields, door glasses, vent glasses, quarter glasses and rear windshield windows to the top car companies in the world. In August of 2008, PPG sold the majority stake in its auto glass business to a New York private equity group called Kohlberg & Co.LLC. PPG Industries Inc. automotive glass business is now called PGW, Pittsburgh Glass Works. On 5/23/09 PPG Industries Inc.'s spin-off Pittsburgh Glass Works LLC entered into a partnership with Daimler AG to supply automotive glass to the German vehicle manufacturer. Under the new, multi-year contract, Pittsburgh Glass Works will be the primary windshield, door and rear windows' supplier for Mercedes-Benz cars and sport utility vehicles. Pittsburgh Glass Works, PPG's former Automotive Glass unit, was spun off and 60 percent of the company is now owned by affiliates of Kohlberg & Co. and 40 percent is still owned by PPG. PPG/PGW as of April 21st 2016 is now owned by LKQ Coperation. Many of PGW’s ARG aftermarket products are made in China and Mexico.
